Danielle Colby’s Role Called Into Question
Fakery on American Pickers has reportedly been exposed, with new claims about Danielle Colby’s limited role in the actual stores.
Danielle, 47, is known as the shop manager of Mike Wolfe’s two Antique Archaeology locations in LeClaire, Iowa and Nashville, Tennessee.
She’s often seen on the show overseeing store operations, leading picks, and managing antique finds.
However, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Danielle is only involved when cameras are rolling.
“Danielle is usually only here for filming,” the insider said.
“She’s a picker now, and she lives in Puerto Rico, so she comes back and forth just for that.”
What Danielle Is Really Doing
Danielle currently resides in Puerto Rico, where she’s focused on her burlesque business and other creative ventures.
While her involvement in Antique Archaeology seems full-time on TV, the insider suggests it’s mostly a filming role now.
More Behind-the-Scenes Fakery Revealed
But that’s not all. The insider also revealed that Antique Archaeology hides branded merchandise during filming.
“The logo for Antique Archaeology can’t appear on the show because of TV rights,” the source said.
“So all the merchandise gets pulled off the floor when they film. Staff has to pick it all up and put it back after.”
What Is Real?
According to the insider, the actual antiques in the store are legitimate, and Mike Wolfe does help select and vet the inventory, along with longtime associate Diamond Dave.
